Amarachi Ngwakwe is a senior at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in Humanities. Her professional goal is to use videography and photography to reshape narratives about underrepresented communities.

 

She has served as a Video Editor for ORANGE Magazine, apprenticed with documentary filmmakers in London, and photographed artist for creative agencies in Austin.

 

Recently, she worked on the multimedia team at KUT 90.5, Austin's NPR Station, where she covered local events in Austin through video and photography. Currently, she serves as a Production Assistant for Austin PBS where she assists with production, editing and script-writing for digital videos.

Amarachi enjoys traveling, cooking, and when she isn't studying, she serves as the Treasurer for African Student Organization at UT.

 

She is currently based in Austin,TX.
